Life is a Prayer.com is my personal website and blog.
Since 2004, I've set up my online residence at http://www.lifeisaprayer.com/. The website, which is an offshoot of a few predecessors running on various servers at various IP addresses (I didn't spend the money on a domain name until 2004), was originally developed in static HTML, along with a blog section that was produced by the Java desktop blogging platform Thingamablog. In 2009, after the Thingamablog project seemed to be waning, I decided to migrate the website to Drupal 6, and used a few custom scripts to get all the content from Thingamablog into a new Drupal blog.
As time progressed, I decided to then upgrade the site to Drupal 7 in 2011. The website now features a few main sections, and many individual posts and articles receive thousands of page views per day. The website is cached as static HTML using the Boost module, which radically speeds up the site's responsiveness.
- Site migrated from static HTML and Thingamablog database to Drupal 6 in 2009.
- Site migrated from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 in 2011.
- Site receives over a million visitors per year.
