For posterity... Geerling's Law of Kubernetes


Jeff, we all know how k8s is the new hype for the last few years, but then it really comes to it: how many people / organisations are really served by it: who truly reap the benefits?

I can spin up a VM, provision some stuff with Ansible and deploy the code. With 20 VMs if I have to. Put some load balancers in front of them (which could also be provisioned with Ansible) and we are back in 2004 but now on hardware that's 1000x more powerful.

Would you make the bet that this would probably work for 99% of use-cases?
