Merry Christmas! (NP)
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Tonight was the last night of the 2007 Christmas Novena at the Seminary. The Novena was very good, and with the exception of the third night, all the other night's homilists have agreed to allow the Seminary to post their homilies on the Podcast (they'll be up within a day or two... be patient!).
There are also a few pictures I snapped from tonight's Novena (with Archbishop Burke as celebrant) on my pictures page.
The 2007 Kenrick-Glennon Seminary Christmas Novena is upon us! I have been quite busy the past few weeks, and have not even been able to update the website with that information. Hopefully as the Novena progresses, I will be able to post a page with all the podcasts from the Novena on it on Kenrick.edu.
For now, I will post the vitals here:
Every night, the Novena will start at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph's Chapel at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary (all are invited). After the Novena, there will be a reception (refreshments are served) in the refectory. Below is a listing of the homilists during the Novena:
Please see the note at the top of the Blog home page - it will tell you what's up...
Kenrick-Glennon Seminary has started selling Christmas cards - you can purchase 10 for $10 (they include envelopes). The picture on the cover of the card is of one of the stained glass windows in the Seminary's St. Joseph's Chapel, and depicts the scene of Jesus' nativity.

Matt Barnard and Jim Theby, two fourth-year theologians at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, were ordained transitional deacons for the Archdiocese of St. Louis at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis this past Saturday. Every time I witness an ordination, I am most excited when I see the ordinands (those to be ordained) lay prostrate on the marble of the sanctuary floor, offering themselves completely to the Lord's service. I look forward with longing to the day when I can do the same!
